The 1984 boat, which is 47 feet long, has an aluminum hull and took around 2.5 months to restore from its former glory. The boat has got its parts upgraded, including repainting the hulls and a ton of electronic gear.

All electronics, pumps, and heating systems are new. They had taken very good care of her, and she is a very roomy and modern boat for her age and sails surprisingly well with the shallow draft. Juho also mentioned that the construction is sturdy. Juho wanted to turn her into a boat that could go anywhere, but that would not be unnecessarily complicated. The boat was ready to go on a longer trip again or just enjoy the local sailing!

The Idylle, though not very well known in northern Europe but popular in France and the Mediterranean, is made with the same hull as the Beneteau “First” series. However, it has a shallower keel and a raised roof for more space inside. The keel is “semi-long,” with the rudder hung on a substantial skeg.

Juho mentioned that it had large double beds in the aft and forward cabins (+ plenty of storage). Also, a dedicated sea bunk in the main cabin for longer trips and a Refleks heater in the main cabin were the extras. In the cockpit, there was a huge storage locker on the starboard side and two bigger lockers in the stern. 

Engine, Tanks, Batteries, Electronics, Heaters, Galley & Heads, Sails, and Other Systems were also upgraded.
